Benihana's

Benihana, founded by Japanese-born entrepreneur Rocky H. Aoki, began in the U.S. as a Japanese steakhouse unlike any other in the country. Rather than using conventional kitchens, Benihana's highly skilled chefs present and prepare all entrees at a "hibachi" table, around which up to eight guests are seated. A fast-paced performance of chopping and juggling creates an exciting teppanyaki-style dining experience for guests of all ages.

Union Square - Union Square is the central shopping, hotel and theater district in San Francisco, California. Its name is derived from the one-block park situated between Post, Geary, Powell and Stockton Streets, but its importance as the largest collection of large department stores, swank boutiques, tourist trinket shops and salons in the Western United States continues to make Union Square a major visitor draw and downtown San Francisco a vital, cosmopolitan place. Grand hotels and small inns, and repertory, off-Broadway and single-act theaters contribute to the area's dynamic, 24-hour character.

On June 6, 1953, brothers Larry and Jack Mitchell opened Mitchell's Ice Cream at San Jose Avenue and 29th Street in San Francisco. Larry and Jack were no strangers to the dairy business, as the family owned and operated a small dairy farm in San Francisco in the late 1800's. Our store began as a neighborhood ice cream shop, but it wasn't long before restaurants and cafes began requesting our ice cream and sorbets for their menus. Over the years, we've gained renown not only for manufacturing super premium gourmet ice cream, but also for making exotic tropical flavors. We import avocado, buko (baby coconut), guava, langka (jackfruit), macapuno (sweet coconut), Jack Mitchell behind counter 1953 mango, pineapple and ube (purple yam) fruit from the Philippines for our ice cream, and we use fruit such as lychee and passion fruit for our delicious sorbets.
